Problem:
You can customize the HTML notifications displayed by OfficeScan when the Web Reputation Services blocks a URL.
Solution:
| | | Please do the following: | | | 1. | On the OfficeScan server, open the \PCCSRV\Pccnt\Common folder. | | | 2. | Make a backup copy of the following files: | | | | | URLfAlt.htm UrlFDnsS.htm UrlFErr.htm UrlFPhis.htm URLFCredLevel.htm URLFCredScore.htm | | | 3. | Open the URLfAlt.htm file in a text or HTML editor. | | | 4. | Edit the message and appearance of the notification as required. | | | 5. | Save and close the file. | | | 6. | Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the five other .htm files. | | | 7. | On the OfficeScan client, run the \\\ofcscan\autopcc.exe to update the files on the client. | | Note: In order for the files to be deployed to client machines, hot fix deployment should be enabled. | | | To verify if hot fix deployment is enabled: | | a. | Log on to the OfficeScan management console. | | | | | b. | Go to Networked Computers > Client Management > Settings > Privileges and Other Settings > Other Settings tab. | | | | | c. | Make sure that the Clients can update components but not upgrade the client program or deploy hot fixes check box is not selected. | | | | | d. | Click Apply to All Clients if you deselected the above-mentioned check box. | | The above .htm files may also be included in future patches and releases. If they are, the edited .htm files will be replaced upon installing a patch. | When this happens, back up then replace the above files with the edited ones. Only make sure that the timestamp of the files is newer than those which came from the patch so they will be deployed to the client machines. |
